West Highland Railway
A Railway Renaissance
Still celebrated as one of the most wild and beautiful of it’s kind, the West Highland Line first ran from Glasgow Queens Street to Fort William on August 7th 1894. It has since found new fame following its appearance in the Harry Potter films.
Using specially shot material, original archive film and rare colour ‘home movies’, this DVD provides a comprehensive and detailed look at this line, its branches and extensions. The DVD covers everything from steam, the Harry Potter train, freight services to the Caledonian Sleeper and the radio signalling system. Trains featured include: 4-4-0’s, K2 and K4 Moguls, Black 5’s, BR standards, Class 37 diesels, Class 66’s and 156 sprinters.
